Public Service Employee Survey
The work we do at CSE protects Canadians every day, and the 2024 Public Service Employee Survey (PSES) shows that our employees feel proud, valued and supported in that mission.
Every two years, the PSES gives employees across the public service a chance to share their views in areas such as engagement, well-being, inclusion and leadership. The results help us learn, improve and celebrate the things that make CSE a great place to work.
This year’s results show that we scored higher than the public service average in many areas. While we are proud to be part of the same public service team, we’re equally proud that our results reflect the unique culture we’ve built together: one where people feel respected, supported and inspired to thrive.
Highlights of what our employees told us

- Job satisfaction: 85% of CSE employees say they like their job
- Feeling valued and respected: 92% of CSE employees feel their opinions are valued, and 91% say they are treated with respect
- Innovation and empowerment: 85% feel encouraged to be innovative or take initiative in their work
- A healthy and supportive workplace: 88% of CSE employees feel supported in balancing work and personal life
- Diversity and inclusion: 84% of CSE employees believe the organization supports a diverse and inclusive workplace
- Recommending CSE: 88% of employees would recommend CSE as a great place to work

Our survey results reinforce what external awards have recognized year after year. CSE has been named one of Canada’s Top Employers for Young People every year from 2017 to 2025. We’ve also been recognized as a Top Employer in the National Capital Region throughout 2013-2015, 2018, and 2020-2025.
