Employee engagement

MOSAiC is our employee engagement strategy, launched in 2013. It is based on five key attributes that keep us focused on transforming and improving CSE’s work environment:

  • sustainability
  • agility
  • innovation
  • collaboration
  • determined community

These attributes help ensure that diversity is valued within CSE and with external partners, and that new ideas can be achieved. They also ensure that CSE is environmentally conscious, and support a creative community that shares a vision of a world-class public service.

Through MOSAiC, CSE employees contribute to, participate in, and lead a range of corporate initiatives including:

  • diversity
  • building and maintaining a healthy workplace
  • corporate social responsibility
  • linguistic duality
  • environmental responsibility
  • learning and development

Greener CSE

Greener CSE is an ongoing initiative which improves CSE’s sustainability efforts at our main building in Ottawa, Ontario, the Edward Drake Building (EDB). Employees who are passionate about making CSE a more environmentally friendly place to work have helped develop a better waste diversion and recycling program throughout the building, are installing bird-deterrent window film to keep birds from hitting the windows, and are educating our workforce about cycling to work.

Engineered Audacity

Engineered Audacity is a MOSAiC initiative launched to build a culture which supports innovative, audacious action across CSE. It encourages employees to embrace and learn from failures in the interest of productive outcomes.
