CSE Looking Forward to Supporting the Defence of the Canadian Electoral Process
CSE has internationally recognized cyber and technical expertise which enables us to respond to threats and attacks against government computer networks and systems, and the important information they contain. CSE has unique expertise that can be leveraged to provide advice on how to secure systems right from the start that make them harder to breach. With this in mind, we are looking forward to working with the Minister for Democratic Institutions and her department on how to best meet the direction to defend the Canadian electoral process from cyber threats as outlined in her mandate letter. At this stage, the process of defining of the exact nature of the efforts CSE will support will begin shortly and will be conducted in a way that meets all of CSE’s clear legal authorities and will be released publicly when completed.
