COMSEC Custodian Certification Program (CCCP)

I am a qualified COMSEC custodian in DND/CAF. Do I have to enroll in the CCCP or apply for PLAR to retain my qualification?

No. DND/CAF personnel are trained according to policy and procedures contained in INFOSEC 2. DND/CAF COMSEC custodian training will continue according to the program prescribed by CFCSU. Although DND/CAF custodians may apply for the CCCP certification, or submit a request for PLAR in order to achieve our certification, there is no mandatory requirement for them to do so andthe courses are not prerequisites to DND COMSEC custodian qualification.

I have just learned about the new COMSEC Custodian Certification Program (CCCP). I am already a qualified custodian, I’m appointed to the position and I’m working at it. Do I have to take those CCCP courses to keep my qualification?

No. People who are selected for appointment after 1 April 2015 must attend the mandatory courses and, upon successful completion, will earn the CCCP Certificate of Achievement. If you are already a qualified COMSEC custodian and you are currently performing the required custodial duties, you do not need to take the CCCP courses if you don’t want to. You will still be a qualified custodian.

I have been a COMSEC custodian for quite some time. I would like to get the CCCP Certificate of Achievement. How do I do that?

As a COMSEC custodian, you should have access to the CUP or you can visit the CSE website to view our communiqués on the CCCP. These notices explain what you would have to do, in your particular situation, to earn and maintain the Certificate of Achievement.

While using the Online Registration Tool, I tried to select a date for the course I wanted to attend. The tool won’t allow me to select a date. What do I need to do?
