The Tutte Institute for Mathematics and Computing (TIMC) is a world-class mathematical and computational institute.  It conducts classified research in the areas of cryptology and knowledge discovery with a mission to support the Canadian Cryptologic Program and its international partners by providing leading-edge solutions to emerging complex problems.  These solutions have real-life implications for the security of Canadians and of our Allies.

The TIMC was recently established within Canada's national cryptologic agency, the Communications Security Establishment Canada (CSEC). The first classified research institute of its kind in Canada, it works in partnership with a network of distinguished mathematicians, computer scientists and engineers at the national and international level; leading researchers from Canadian and international universities and research institutes; and various Canadian governmental agencies.

Based in Ottawa, Ontario, the institute is housed in a state-of-the-art facility operating on an advanced collaborative work model. It is here that the best minds in the mathematical and computational research field come together to solve some of the most challenging and intricate problems of our day.
