The implementation of the Government of Canada Electronic Key Management System (GoC EKMS) and recent changes to CSEC's organizational structure resulted in the establishment of the Crypto Material Assistance Centre (CMAC) in June 2001.
CSEC, as the national authority for COMSEC material for Canada, operates the Canadian Central Facility (CCF). The CCF provides COMSEC material management related functions to users, and is responsible for the overall management of the GoC EKMS. The CMAC is located within the CCF, and is the single point of contact for the National Central Office of Records (NCOR), Cryptomaterial Ordering and Privilege Management, and Assistance Centre.
The CMAC is your "front door" for all cryptomaterial management inquiries and problems. Please do not hesitate to contact us. The CMAC is available from 8:00 A.M to 16:00 (EST and EDT) Monday to Friday. During off hours an answering machine will record messages that staff will respond to the next business day.
