Tactical Network-layer Gateway (2E2 IA): a GD Canada MESHnet Gateway product, hereafter referred to as TNG 2E2 IA, was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility, EWA-Canada, Ottawa, Canada. The evaluation was completed in January 2009.
The evaluation of TNG 2E2 IA determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, at an assurance level of EAL 2 augmented with ALC_FLR.1, to conform to the requirements of the associated security target.
TNG 2E2 IA is a gateway that connects integrated digital voice and data systems. TNG 2E2 IA includes both the gateway itself, and the separate management console. TNG 2E2 IA incorporates FIPS 140-2 validated encryption to secure Administrator communications.
The scope of this evaluation is defined by the security target, which identifies assumptions made during the evaluation, the intended environment for TNG 2E2 IA, the IT security requirements to be met, and the level of confidence (evaluation assurance level) to which it is asserted that TNG 2E2 IA satisfies its IT security requirements.
Consumers are advised to carefully review the certification report to gain an understanding of the security functionality, the evaluated configuration, and the intended operating environment for TNG 2E2 IA.
