SenSage 4.6.2 (hereafter referred to as SenSage) was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility at DOMUS IT Security Laboratory, located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The evaluation was completed in July 2011.
The evaluation of SenSage determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, to an assurance level of EAL 2 augmented with ALC_FLR.1, to conform to the requirements of the associated security target.
SenSage is an Event Data Warehouse solution that handles log and event data. Event data contains evidence directly pertaining to and resulting from the execution of a business process or system function.
When properly configured, the Event Data Warehouse contains the records of system activities such as users logging in and logging out, users accessing confidential files, activities on the firewall, emails being sent and received, information on processed transactions, and the web sites being accessed.
The scope of this evaluation is defined by the security target, which identifies assumptions made during the evaluation, the intended environment for the SenSage, the IT security requirements to be met, and the level of confidence (evaluation assurance level) to which it is asserted that the SenSage satisfies its IT security requirements.
Consumers are advised to carefully review the certification report to gain an understanding of the security functionality, the evaluated configuration, and the intended operating environment for SenSage.
