RSA enVision® platform v4.0 SP 1 (hereafter referred to as RSA enVision) was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility at EWA-Canada, located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The evaluation was completed in December 2009.
The evaluation of RSA enVision determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, at an Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 3 augmented with ALC_FLR.2, (Flaw reporting procedures) to conform to the requirements of the associated security target.
RSA enVision is a compliance and security application that allows administrators to capture and analyze log information automatically from network, security, application, operating and storage environments. It gives the administrator an accurate picture of how their network is being used, and by whom. It independently monitors the network to verify security policies, to generate alerts for possible compliance breaches, and to analyze and report on network performance.
The scope of this evaluation is defined by the security target, which identifies assumptions made during the evaluation, the intended environment for RSA enVision, the IT security requirements to be met, and the level of confidence (evaluation assurance level) to which it is asserted that RSA enVision satisfies its IT security requirements.
Consumers are advised to carefully review the certification report to gain an understanding of the security functionality, the evaluated configuration, and the intended operating environment for RSA enVision.
