The IntellitacticsTM Incorporated Network Security ManagerTM (NSMTM) v4.1 was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility at Electronic Warfare Associates-Canada, Ltd., located in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. The evaluation was completed on 24 November 2004.

The evaluation of the IntellitacticsTM NSMTM determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, to an assurance level of EAL 2, to conform to the requirements of the associated security target.

The IntellitacticsTM NSMTM is a threat management platform that collects and analyses security event data within the network(s) it monitors. The NSMTM can provide the user with a graphical visualisation of threats and anomalies as they happen in real time, and can correlate information and track anomalies and trends happening over time.

The evaluated configuration comprises: NSMTM v4.1 Remote Console running on a Windows® 2000 Server SP4/ Intel® platform with Internet Explorer® 6 SP1; NSMTM v4.1 Central Server running on a Windows® 2000 Server SP4 / Intel® platform with Internet Explorer® 6 SP1; NSMTM v4.1 Event Consolidator running on a Windows® 2000 Server SP4 / Intel® platform with Internet Explorer® 6 SP1; NSMTM v4.1 Reporting System Server running on a Windows® 2000 Server SP4 / Intel® with Internet Explorer® 6 SP1; and NSMTM v4.1 Database running on a Windows® 2000 Server SP4 / Intel® platform with Internet Explorer® 6 SP1 and Microsoft® SQL ServerTM 2000.

The scope of this evaluation is defined by the security target, which identifies assumptions made during the evaluation, the intended environment for the IntellitacticsTM NSMTM, the IT security requirements to be met, and the level of confidence (evaluation assurance level) to which it is asserted that the IntellitacticsTM NSMTM satisfies its IT security requirements. Consumers are advised to verify that their operating environment is consistent with the security target.
