Intel® SOA Expressway v2.7.0.4 and Intel® SOA Expressway v2.7.0.4 for Healthcare (hereafter referred to as SOAE) was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility at EWA-Canada, located in Ottawa, Canada. The evaluation was completed in August 2011.

The evaluation of SOAE determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, to an assurance level of EAL 4 augmented with ALC_FLR.1, to conform to the requirements of the associated security target.

The SOAE is a security gateway designed to secure the enterprise Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA). The SOAE provides trust enablement and threat prevention by providing a secure gateway between external service providers and internal services. The SOAE links web services clients to web services servers and web integration servers using administrator defined security rulesets.

SOAE incorporates FIPS 140-2 validated cryptology.

The scope of this evaluation is defined by the security target, which identifies assumptions made during the evaluation, the intended environment for the SOAE, the IT security requirements to be met, and the level of confidence (evaluation assurance level) to which it is asserted that the SOAE satisfies its IT security requirements.

Consumers are advised to verify that their operating environment is consistent with the security target, and to give due consideration to the recommendations stated in the certification report.
