Enterasys Netsight/Network Access Control v3.2.2 (hereafter referred to as Enterasys Netsight/NAC) was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility at DOMUS IT Security Laboratory, Ottawa, Canada. The evaluation was completed in April 2011.

The evaluation of Enterasys Netsight/NAC determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, to an Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 2 augmented, to conform to the requirements of the associated security target. The augmentation consisted of ALC_FLR.1 - Basic Flaw Remediation.

Enterasys Netsight/NAC is a centralized network access control system that authenticates and authorizes end-system access to network resources. It ensures that only valid users and devices are permitted to connect to the network from the proper location and at the right time. The TOE supports three network access control functions: detection, authentication, and authorization. These three functions can be deployed in various combinations.

The scope of this evaluation is defined by the security target, which identifies assumptions made during the evaluation, the intended environment for the Enterasys Netsight/NAC, the IT security requirements to be met, and the level of confidence (evaluation assurance level) to which it is asserted that the Enterasys Netsight/NAC satisfies its IT security requirements.

Consumers are advised to carefully review the Certification Report to gain an understanding of the security functionality, the evaluated configuration, and the intended operating environment for Enterasys Netsight/NAC.
