BAE Systems STOP OS™ v7.3.1 (hereafter referred to as STOP v7.3.1), from BAE Systems, was the subject of a Common Criteria evaluation performed by the Common Criteria Evaluation Facility at EWA-Canada, Ottawa, Canada. The evaluation was completed in December 2011.

The evaluation of STOP v7.3.1 determined that this Information Technology (IT) product can be trusted, to Evaluation Assurance Level (EAL) 4 augmented with ALC_FLR.3, to conform to the requirements of the associated security target.

STOP v7.3.1 is a 32-bit, multiprogramming, multi-tasking, operating system that can support multiple users. In addition to proprietary interfaces for secure administration, STOP v7.3.1 provides a Linux-like user environment and application programming interface (API) that allows Linux and cross-platform applications to be run without change, while benefiting from the designed-in security that STOP v7.3.1 provides. The TOE is software-only; the hardware on which STOP v7.3.1 runs is defined to be in the IT environment.
